We’re looking for an outstanding leader with a passion for technology and the ability to work with a diverse and geographically dispersed team. The Engineering Manager position will play a key role in managing a team of DevOps engineers that are responsible for releasing and maintaining Cyber Security software across the label.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively manage and lead a team of DevOps engineers working on releasing and maintaining Cyber Security Software
  • Drive technical excellence by validating technology choices, architectural design, and code quality, diving deeper when vital
  • Enable the team to succeed by identifying gaps, improving engineering process, and providing growth opportunities
  • Be the voice of the team in interacting with various collaborators across teams both inside and outside of the organization
  • Act as a conduit from executive leadership down to the team, distilling strategic direction into tactical action
  • Collaborate with other technical leaders at Zynga to drive standard processes and engineering culture
  • Coordinate closely with other teams (especially Production) to ensure alignment against larger organizational goals

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience directly managing teams of software or systems engineers
  • 4+ years of prior hands-on software or systems development experience
  • Solid understanding of standard processes around infrastructure as code
  • Knowledge of the security landscape and emerging technologies
  • Familiarity with agile development methods and tools
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, serverless, etc.) a plus
