Zynga India:

Zynga India is Zynga’s largest studio outside USA with 500+ people and growing rapidly. It manages some of Zynga’s biggest global games in the Casual Gaming, Action Strategy, Match-3, Slots, and Invest Express genres. The game teams are responsible for the long term-vision of the game, its entire Game Design & Tuning, Product Roadmap, Features, Content & Creative decisions, Art work (2D, 3D, Animation), Development, QA/Testing, Analytics & Performance Tracking, User Acquisition & Live Operations.

Position Overview

Come join the team at Zynga making an impact across all of the company’s games – Central Technology! As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for the technical vision, design and implementation of backend services that power our games at scale. We’re looking for outstanding engineers with a passion for technology and the desire to work in a team with dynamic strengths. The Architect will play a key role as part of the Central Technology Organization, focusing on advanced technology developments for building scalable end-to-end products which can be integrated into the various games.

Main Responsibilities

–  Design and architect new backend applications and services running in AWS

–  Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various system resources

–  Advocate for and implement new technologies and engineering standards across the team

–  Review detailed designs from others, align with Zynga-wide technical vision, and exercise technical leadership on the team and engineering organization

–  Document and build plans for architecture and system designs

–  Work collaboratively across teams to understand product and customer requirements and propose solutions

–  Establish engineering processes and metrics to measure software process, operations, and quality

–  Coach and mentor engineers

Desired skills and Experience

–  Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent

–  10+ years of professional experience in software development of cloud based software

–  Experience programming RESTful services using Java, GoLang, Python or PHP

–  Strong familiarity and experience using AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)

–  Experience with containers and Kubernetes/EKS

–  Experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL)

–  Deep understanding of algorithms, design patterns, debugging and performance optimization

–  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with senior leadership with confidence and clarity

–  Familiarity with web development using JS, Angular and React is a plus
