What’s the best career advice you’ve been given?
I learned early in my career to “love what I do, but don’t fall in love with it”.

Passion keeps us motivated, but being agile is a mindset and skill that is indispensable. It’s natural to get attached to our own ideas. The best leaders I’ve worked with excelled at pivoting the moment a better solution emerged, regardless of how much effort was already put in. That laser focused vision and prioritization inspires me to always keep an eye out for the best possible solution in any challenge.

What methods do you use to stay motivated and focused?
I divide my day into quarters, similar to a football game. This helps me break down larger tasks into manageable mini-achievements throughout the day. We all know that plans can get thrown out the window, but this system gives me the flexibility to adapt. Even if the two quarters are a wash, I can use “halftime” to regroup and make sure I finish strong in the final half.

How would you describe the culture at Zynga?
I’ve had the privilege of experiencing Zynga’s culture in the startup days and in its current maturity. I’m happy to say that the energy and fun I loved back then are still thriving today. It’s a “work hard, play hard” environment, but there’s also a genuine level of care for everyone who shows up. Between the professional growth, social communities, and learning opportunities, it’s an atmosphere where one can truly feel valued, challenged, and supported in their crafts.

What do you enjoy most about working here?
The people here are truly the heart and soul of everything. It’s incredibly motivating to collaborate with people who are just as passionate about great games and products as I am. There’s really no feeling quite like going to work to build something you love alongside friends.

How has your cultural background influenced your career journey?
Growing up with cultural values of collectivism and harmony has shaped my leadership style. These principles make collaboration second nature and have been incredibly helpful in my transition to management. They have given me a stronger understanding of how to foster an environment where people feel connected and empowered, ensuring we’re building a solid foundation to succeed together.
