Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Our Culture, Our Diversity, Our Games

The following message is being shared on behalf of AmigoZ

As we kick off National Hispanic Heritage Month here in the US, I’m proud to invite you all to recognize, reflect, and celebrate with us on behalf of Amigoz ERG!

This month holds deep significance across Latin America. The timeframe itself — September 15 – October 15 — honors the independence days of several nations. From Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, to Mexico, Chile, and Belize, this time serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience, vibrant art, and rich history that continue to shape our world.

As VP of Art and the Executive Sponsor for AmigoZ, I constantly see how the diverse backgrounds of our team directly drive the success of our games. Art, storytelling, and game design are fundamentally rooted in perspective and connection. When our Latino, Hispanic, and POC team members bring their authentic selves to work, they enrich our studio culture with invaluable strengths, outstanding cultural insight, creative problem-solving, and unique perspective. More importantly, we build games that truly connect and reflect the world that we live in.

Rebuilding AmigoZ & Getting Involved

Our AmigoZ ERG board is currently stepping into an exciting new chapter! We’re focusing on adding to the group and planning for the future, and this is the perfect time to get involved and help shape what comes next!

Representation matters in our studios, in our games, and in our leadership. Whether you identify with the community or want to join as an ally, your voice and perspective are welcome here.

Con mucho cariño y mucho, mucho amor,

  • Nubia Mora, Vice President of Art & Executive Sponsor of AmigoZ
