AVAILABLE POSITIONS Sr. AV Technician

Zynga is actively looking for a Senior A/V Technician to join its dynamic IT Operations Team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of ownership, be able to collaborate with a globally dispersed team, and have broad problem-solving experience. This position reports to the A/V & Telecom Manager (San Francisco) and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to Zynga’s success during an exciting time in the company’s growth and history. Main Responsibilities 

  • provide continuous, outstanding customer service for all things Audio-Visual to all stakeholders
  • assist customers with A/V related issues in a Service Desk setting – troubleshooting and resolving issues, onsite & remotely (when applicable)
  • answer all service calls and update all JIRA tickets in a timely manner
  • available to travel to other offices (CONUS + international, occasionally) for routine maintenance and new site builds
  • may include after-hours and on-call duties with guaranteed response times and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • perform routine preventative maintenance checks and services to audiovisual systems, including software/firmware updates, as needed
  • research hardware, coordinate outside repairs, work with vendors, assist with support teams' phone lines
  • perform routine preventative maintenance checks and service for A/V systems, including software/firmware updates
  • test and troubleshoot control system functionality (may include Crestron, AMX, and other IP-based control systems)
  • test and evaluate performance of video conference systems, including local camera and presentation source routing and control, and acoustic echo cancellation
  • may include after hours and on-call duties with guaranteed response times
  • directly interact with users and stakeholders at every level of the business, from intern to CEO
  • educate end-users in A/V best practices

 

Desired Skills and Experience 

  • Uncompromising team player with a a “Service First” mentality
  • College degree from an accredited university/institution
  • 5+ years of corporate A/V experience (or equivalent combination of education &  experience)
  • Proactive contributor and subject matter expert (SME)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills  
  • Works efficiently with limited supervision and direction (but asks for help when needed)
  • Sets individual goals: reports on project & task status weekly
  • Capable of dealing effectively with customers and colleagues in a fluid, fast-paced environment
  • Works effectively with all internal (Organization) staff, Senior Management, and external (3rd) parties
  • Desire to further professional learning and accrue new skill-sets
  • Highly desirable plus:  possesses technical A/V certifications (such as CTS)
  • Able to create & document A/V processes & products for the entire company
  • Always researching & evaluating new A/V technologies: recommend, test, document, POC
  • Resourceful & requires little direction/guidance
