AVAILABLE POSITIONS Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst

Zynga is currently seeking a Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst to join our product-driven cybersecurity team. This team is responsible for designing, building, and testing security components at a software and product level. The position will report directly to the Director of Security Operations, and be a member of our Cybersecurity team, resident under Zynga’s CTO organization. The right candidate will possess experience and familiarity with software and computer systems, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, gaming environment.   

Positions Overview:

As the Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining a global technology infrastructure to support the Zynga Data Loss Prevention Strategy. You will play a key role in designing and deploying the infrastructure and processes to establish a global DLP environment. As the Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst, you will be responsible for developing the holistic scan strategy across various technologies and platforms in order to support DLP and data classification both on-premise and in the cloud. Drive the technical practices and implementation of securing data across technical systems and infrastructure. Contribute to the development, improvement, and operational management of Security Operations, Monitoring and Incident Response practices, processes, and solutions.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering security components and systems in a feature-driven, product led environment
  • Building and maintaining a data security platform
  • Identifying data elements and working with data owners and custodians to ensure security best practices are followed
  • Developing and putting into place data security controls in conjunction with the Zynga GRC team
  • Identifying ways to mitigate data risks in the environment
  • Assist with support of existing enterprise security tooling and processes 
  • Assist with the creation and/or review of processes
  • Conducts examination of events, logs, network traffic, and other data to support investigations

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: 3-7 yrs in information security field
  • Experience deploying and maintaining DLP solutions
  • Knowledge of data protection controls
  • Strong documentation & communication
  • Have ability to write scripts and be proficient in a high-level programming language
  • Splunk experience is a requirement, Splunk Enterprise Security experience a plus
  • AWS, G-Suite and cloud experience
  • Familiarity with Confluence & Jira use and investigations
  • Familiar with the Agile Scrum methodology
  • Experience with identifying data elements and aligning them with security best practices
  • Ability to translate design documents into delivery components for product development
  • Ability to learn what you don’t know, rapid learning of new technologies and languages, and problem solve on the boundaries of your knowledge set.    
  • Travel: No routine travel required. Infrequent travel required (yearly team meeting)
