Position Overview:
Partnering with the Director of Application Security, this role is responsible to engage across global Game Teams, Central Technology Teams and Cybersecurity in managing, overseeing and developing an Application Security Team based in India. This role will help drive engineering efforts to improve overall Cybersecurity efforts within our gaming products and services. We are seeking a manager with a well-versed technical background in penetration testing and application security who has experience leading and guiding hackers through their daily work engagements of finding bugs and vulnerabilities. The manager can review and advise on penetration test methodologies and optimize deliverables while maintaining quality of test findings, while working with the engineering teams to drive effective remediation. This role will be responsible for the efficacy of their team and their ability to drive positive change within Zynga.
Positions Responsibilities:
- Manage a Team of 5-6 Penetration Testers; provide expert-level technical peer review for application security issues, coaching and guidance on methodologies, tactics, processes and findings
- Coordinate quarterly planning process (OKRs – Objectives and Key Results), manage the penetration testing backlog and assignment of resources
- Drive Penetration Testing Engagements with a high degree of Engineering satisfaction and through superior communication ability
- Drive initiatives and provide insightful data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership team.
- Partner closely with other functions including Product and Engineering, Communications, PR, Marketing, Revenue, HR, Talent
- Experience working in an ambiguous environment and be able to provide innovative solutions, thereby contributing to product design
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related subject area or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree (science, engineering, technology)
- 5-7 years provable application security and penetration testing technical expertise
- Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE) is highly desirable
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is required
- 2-3 years in leading small highly technical teams
- Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry is a plus
- Ability to work independently and within a global team
- Outstanding communication skills: verbal, written and in-person
