providing this celebrated brand's best Match Three game experience to our players
worldwide.

The Lead User Experience Designer collaborates with Franchise Leads to develop a
product's vision and thoughtfully guides the “XD” team to reach that goal. In addition,
you will lead the effort in design innovation to provide user-centered solutions that
promote ease of use and employ best-in-class design to excite our players and satisfy
usability needs.

You will run the game’s XD team and lead all phases of the design process, including
conceptual design and development, graphic and interface design, interaction models,
prototypes, user/task flows, and art production.

In addition to Leading the Experience Design efforts, you will mentor and manage your
XD team as we level each other up to reach our highest potential.

Job Responsibilities:
As Experience Design Lead, you will direct your team and also contribute personally in
the following areas:
● Collaborate with the product and design teams to conceptualize, define, and
develop features that yield outstanding experiences for our players that
synthesize the needs of players and all development departments.
● Collaborate with the art team to define a thematic art style, develop mood
boards, and help guide the visual design of features.
● Work through your team to build user flows, interface wireframes, prototypes,
high-fidelity mockups, define functional animation and author design
documentation.
● Employ and advocate for the classic design process of defining problems,
researching, analyzing, designing, and validating results.
● Partner with our Consumer Insights team for user testing, developing personas,
analyzing data, and competitor research and deconstructs.
● Partner with technical artists and engineers to implement UI assets in the game
engine and prepare assets for implementation.
As a Lead, your team will need your guidance in the following areas:
● Be responsible for the task management, mentoring, and career development of
your assigned XD staff.
● Be responsible for the quality and execution of the player experience for all
features of your game team. Set examples, and establish guides and best
practices in XD for others in your game team.
● Lead and participate in company-wide XD community events, critiques, product
reviews, and feature retrospectives to share findings and develop standard
methodologies across the organization.

Applicant’s Proficiencies:
As Experience Design Lead, you will need the following skills:
● Adaptable in a fast-paced setting, rapidly developing new skills and behaviors in
response to changing circumstances.
● Ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiency, and handle your time effectively to
complete your work with minimal oversight.
● Deliver high-quality presentations that are well organized and easy to understand
by non UXers. Give presentations that tell a story that illustrates the iterative
thought process and the reasoning behind conclusions. Cater to your audience
and listen to their perspectives and needs to build consensus with potentially
opposing viewpoints.
● Moderate design critiques that allow people to be heard while keeping the
discussion on track and moving forward and always keeping the player
experience (user empathy) the center of attention.
● Keep your team’s attention on the bigger picture and work with consideration for
the overall experience and flow of a product.
● An accomplished expert with prototyping design software (Figma, Sketch, or
similar tools) and the prototype development process
● Mastery of classic graphic design principles, user interface layout design,
hierarchy, color theory, and information architecture
● Can consistently produce high-quality visual assets for user interfaces and
adhere and build upon established visual branding
● Highly skilled with standard creative software such as the Adobe Creative Suite
● Highly experienced in traditional mobile game development methods, processes,
and limitations for game engines like Unity.
● Experienced in collaborating and partnering with technical team members such
as Tech Art and Engineering.

Level of Experience:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or
related area required. A combination of education and experience may substitute
for a Bachelor's degree.
● 6+ years of experience in the game development industry specializing in UI/UX,
having worked on 3+ different game titles.
● At least one year of experience in a leadership role

Software Expertise:
● Figma, Sketch, or other UI design tools
● Axure, Framer, or other interactive prototyping packages are a bonus
● Unity Engine (UGUI, NGUI) is a bonus
