Position Overview
Echtra Games is looking for a talented Concept Artist with expertise in environment art to join our growing team on an exciting new cross-platform Action Role Playing Game! You will be working as part of a dedicated team responsible for creating captivating worlds beyond players’ expectations.

Main Responsibilities
- Visualizing and assisting the Art Director with world building, establishing the game setting, and refining the details
- Collaborate with the Art Director and Environment Artists to maintain the vision and style of the game
- Define the look and feel of a game through your concept art
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience creating high quality environment concept art for video games
- An outstanding portfolio which demonstrates your command of foundational art skills (drawing, painting, material indication, perspective, lighting, composition, color theory, shape language, and interior/exterior design)
- Solid understanding and execution of hard surface design (buildings, vehicles, machines)
- Advanced technical expertise in Photoshop
- Ability to take direction and feedback from the team as well as contribute your own ideas
- Demonstrate imaginative and innovative solutions to game situations
- Possess a creative passion for taking the player outside of their world
Pluses
- 3D package experience (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Zbrush, SketchUp)
- Experience with licensed IP projects
- Foundational understanding of the ARPG genre
- Familiarity with looter shooters

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $69,900 and $103,000 per year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
