Zynga is currently seeking a Director of Operations who can drive results, work effectively with remote studios, and set appropriate expectations across multiple disciplines. 

The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in defining and driving integration plans for acquired studios, and establishing best practices. The right candidate for this role will be ready to embrace our culture and elevate our business performance while adapting to the unique needs and cultures of acquired studios. They will have broad experience in solving complex problems, partnering, influencing and enabling business leaders. Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between Zynga and acquired companies. Adapt and develop integration plans to meet Zynga business needs while preserving acquired team culture and business continuity

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across technology, creative, QA, marketing, advertising, legal, and customer service

  • Lead efforts with external studios to integrate Zynga technology, reporting tools, legal requirements, and other best practices

  • Consistently report the status, risks, and trends for acquired companies and teams

  • Deliver on business planning activities including slate management, workforce planning updates, feature release cycles, and strategic scenario analyses

  •  Build relationships across studios for effective team integration, shared best practices, and open communication focused on transparency and predictability

  • Partner with remote studio leads and help influence across all functions by understanding their business models and proactively helping them to solve challenges

  • Drive projects unrelated to integration as needed, potentially including management of the game development process, roadmap planning, budgets, milestone check-ins, product reviews, release management, and customer service

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 6 – 8 years progressive game development and operations experience

  • mobile experience prefered

  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional communication skills, ability to navigate ambiguity and build consensus   

  • Strong individual contributor with ability to lead small projects, as required

  • Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, flexibility, maturity under pressure, and anticipates and resolves problems before they develop

  • A team player who is able to build relationships and work collaboratively across business units/functions e.g. Finance, Technology & Marketing

  • Confidentiality and integrity in dealing with highly sensitive information

  • Proficient with Google Workspace, Office Suite
