Zynga is looking for an exceptional Director of Operations who can drive results, work effectively with remote studios, and set appropriate expectations across multiple disciplines. The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in helping drive roadmap planning, establishing best practices, and running live ops for multiple titles. The right candidate for this role will be ready to embrace our culture and elevate our business performance.   • Second-in-command in the Studio
  • Oversee P&L, business operations, production execution, and live operations
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across technology, creative, QA, marketing, advertising, legal, and customer service
  • Deliver on business planning activities which include slate management, workforce planning updates, feature release cycles, and strategic scenario analyses
  • Lead efforts with external studios to integrate Zynga technology, reporting tools, legal requirements, and other best practices
  • Manage the game development process, including roadmap planning, budgets, milestone check-ins, product reviews, release management, and customer service
  • Consistently report the status, risks, and trends for each game
  • Build relationships across studios for effective team integration, shared best practices, and open communication focused on transparency and predictability
  • Partner with remote studio leads and help influence across all functions by understanding their business models and proactively helping them to solve challenges

Required Skills:

  • 6 – 8 years progressive game development and operations experience
  • MBA highly desirable
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills
  • Advance user of excel required, macros high desirable
  • Strong individual contributor with ability to lead small projects, as required
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, flexibility, maturity under pressure, and anticipates and resolves problems before they develop
  • A team player who is able to build relationships and work collaboratively across business units/functions e.g. Finance, Technology & Marketing
  • Strong communication skills, ability to highlight trends and help build presentations that share learnings or implement improvements
  • Confidentiality and integrity in dealing with highly sensitive information
  • Game/entertainment/technology industry experience is preferred
