Chief Executive Officer and member of Zynga’s Board of Directors
Frank Gibeau is Zynga's Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Zynga. He is a mobile, PC and console gaming industry veteran, with 25 years of experience in interactive entertainment.
Frank is leading Zynga’s business turnaround by increasing operational excellence, driving a renewed commitment to live services and bold beats, investing in the Company’s forever franchises – Zynga Poker, Words With Friends, CSR2 and Social Slots – and focusing on innovation across the organization through existing IP and emerging chat-based platforms.
Gibeau spent more than two decades at Electronic Arts Inc., where he held a number of influential business and product leadership roles. Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President of EA Mobile, where he led strategy, product development and publishing for the company's fast-growing mobile games business. In that role, Gibeau managed EA's portfolio of popular mobile franchises including The Simpsons: Tapped Out, Plants vs. Zombies, Real Racing, Bejeweled, Star Wars, Minions, SimCity, EA SPORTS and The Sims. In addition, Gibeau spearheaded the creation of new mobile IP and platform technology, as well as EA's Chillingo publishing operation.
Prior to leading EA's mobile business, Gibeau was President of EA Labels from 2011 to 2013, where he oversaw IP development, worldwide product management and marketing for major console and PC properties including Battlefield, FIFA, Madden NFL, Need for Speed, SimCity, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect, Dragon Age and The Sims. He also spent four years as the President of the EA Games Label, leading a successful business turnaround that resulted in increased product quality, on-time game delivery and dramatically reduced costs. Before that, Gibeau acted as EA's Executive Vice President and General Manager of The Americas, where he was directly responsible for a publishing operation that accounted for more than $1.5 billion of EA's annual revenue. While at EA, Gibeau also served as Executive Producer of the major motion picture "Need For Speed," which was released in 2014.
Gibeau is currently Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Board for the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. Gibeau previously served on the Board of Directors for Cooliris, a mobile content and communication technology company, and Graphiq, a data visualization company. Gibeau received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration from Santa Clara University.
Chief Financial Officer, Zynga
Gerard Griffin is Zynga's Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the company's accounting, finance and investor relations operations. Griffin brings with him 25 years of business experience, and has deep expertise in financial and operational management within the gaming, media and technology sectors.
Under Griffin’s financial leadership, over the last year Zynga has sharpened its operating model, improved its efficiency and delivered a marked improvement year-over-year in profitability, cash flow, revenue and bookings.
Before joining Zynga, Griffin spent more than 10 years at Electronic Arts, Inc., a global leader in digital interactive entertainment. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance where he was the finance leader for EA's Studios, Marketing and Publishing organizations. Before that, he spent more than six years in Geneva, Switzerland as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for EA International. In that role, Griffin oversaw EA's international finance functions and served as the lead finance partner to EA's Chief Operating Officer and Global Publishing organization. At EA, Griffin was a key member of the company's operating management team responsible for the development and expansion of EA's games across all platforms including mobile, console and PC.
Prior to EA, Gerard held a number of senior finance roles domestically and internationally at technology and media companies, including NBC and Primedia, as well as in public accounting with KPMG in Dublin and New York.
Griffin received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Galway and a postgraduate diploma in Professional Accounting from University College Dublin. Additionally, he is a fellow in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland. Griffin is married to wife Paula and has two children and a Yorkie.
Chief Operating Officer, Zynga
Matt Bromberg is currently Chief Operating Officer of Zynga, one of the most successful mobile game developers in the world. As COO, Bromberg is responsible for the worldwide operations of the company’s global game studios across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Finland and India. In his role, he oversees technology, data science, analytics and studio operations as well as leading several of Zynga’s game teams.
Prior to joining Zynga, Bromberg was Senior Vice President of Strategy and Operations for Mobile gaming at Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA), where he held global operating responsibility for the mobile gaming business. While at EA, he led teams on four continents with hit games across all major genres, including Plants v. Zombies, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, Real Racing, Need for Speed, The Sims, and Star Wars. He began his career at EA as General Manager of Bioware Austin, where he led the successful turnaround of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Later, Bromberg became Group General Manager for all Bioware studios worldwide, launching the 2014 Game of the Year, Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Earlier in his career Bromberg pioneered the E-sports revolution as the president and CEO of Major League Gaming, leading a start-up team that built the largest consumer video game events in the North America; the largest web platform for competitive video gamers in the world; and live online broadcasts whose ratings exceeded those of major cable television. Bromberg also held a number of senior-level roles at AOL, including SVP and GM of MovieFone, GM of Consumer Products, and GM of online gaming.
He holds a B.A. in English from Cornell University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Chief Legal Officer, Zynga
Phuong Phillips is Chief Legal Officer for Zynga, overseeing all legal affairs and government relations for the company.
Prior to joining Zynga, Phillips served as Associate General Counsel for Tesla, Inc., where she managed the post-acquisition integrations of SolarCity Corp. and Grohmann Engineering, as well as served as lead mergers and acquisitions attorney for the company. Before that, Phillips spent more than six years at SolarCity, a multi-billion dollar clean energy company. As SolarCity’s Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Head of Corporate and Securities, Phillips advised on matters including M&A, board and corporate governance, securities offerings and compliance, SEC reporting and internal policies. Phillips also served as the lead attorney for SolarCity during its 2016 acquisition by Tesla.
Before joining SolarCity, Phillips spent more than seven years as a Corporate Attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where she represented a wide range of technology and emerging growth companies on corporate governance, public reporting, securities laws, venture and private equity financing, M&A and IPOs.
Phillips also currently serves as the Director of Operations for the Straubel Foundation, a charitable organization focused on global sustainability, education and science. In 2014, she received the Clean Energy Education & Empowerment (C3E) Initiative Law & Finance Award from the Department of Energy and MIT, recognizing her nationally as a top lawyer advancing innovative clean energy financing solutions. In 2015, the Silicon Valley Business Journal also honored Phillips with a Women of Influence Award.
Phillips received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a specialization in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law.
President of Publishing
Bernard is a mobile gaming and interactive entertainment veteran with more than 15 years of experience.
To-date, more than one billion people around the world have played Zynga’s games, including the world’s largest social poker game, Zynga Poker; the world’s most popular mobile word game, Words With Friends; and the #1 Top Grossing Mobile Racing Game, CSR Racing 2. As Zynga’s President of Publishing, Bernard is responsible for overseeing how the company brings these games and services to players through our network, consumer insights, product management, marketing, user acquisition, ad monetization, communications, business development and strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining Zynga, Bernard spent nearly 10 years at Electronic Arts Inc., most recently as the company’s Senior Vice President of Mobile Publishing. In that role, he oversaw EA’s mobile distribution, strategy, product management, analytics, network engagement, marketing, revenue demand planning, business development, third-party publishing, mergers and acquisitions and Sandbox. During his tenure at EA, Bernard also led EA's games division in Asia and helped bring EA franchises including SimCity, Star Wars, The Sims, The Simpsons, Real Racing and EA SPORTS to billions of players.
Prior to joining EA, Bernard served as Director of Sales and Channel Strategy at The Walt Disney Company, where he led sales and retail for Disney Mobile.
Bernard holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Communications from Boston College.
Chief Communications Officer
Dani Dudeck serves as Zynga’s Chief Communications Officer where she oversees the company’s global external and internal communications practice. As Zynga’s CCO, Dudeck oversees Zynga’s brand and product reputation, working closely with the Zynga leadership team, Investor Relations, Consumer Insights, Product Marketing and a number of other internal teams to bring Zynga’s mass-market products to life for consumers and the investment community.
Dudeck is a 15-year communications veteran having worked with some of the fastest growing companies in the world at the intersection of entertainment, technology and pop-culture. Since 2010, Dudeck has led the global communications practice including managing the company’s corporate reputation across financial and industry audiences, driving direct-to-consumer mainstream awareness for existing and new products, and managing Zynga’s employer brand through internal communications, cultural initiatives and events. Dudeck serves on the Advisory Board for Women at Zynga, the largest and most active employee resource group at the company where she helps to drive unique coaching, development and community-building programs for Zynga’s talented women. In 2012, Dudeck received industry recognition by PRWeek in the publication's annual "40 Under 40."
Prior to joining Zynga, Dudeck led the Communications team for News Corp’s MySpace’s as the company’s Vice President of Global Communications where she oversaw the company’s in-house team, global PR agencies and communications efforts across consumer, technology, product and corporate issues management. Prior to joining News Corp, Dudeck worked for PR agencies including Edelman and Hill & Knowlton representing clients such as Starbucks, Yahoo!, Hewlett Packard, Toshiba and THQ. She earned a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and French language from the University of Southern California and resides in San Francisco with her husband and daughter.
